Quick Overview

ToughLiner is an industrial abrasion resistant spray coating to be used on demanding surfaces such as automotive, marine and industrial linings. It provides excellent chemical, moisture and UV resistance. It is a two component 100% solids polyurea formulation containing no VOCs and is designed to deliver excellent adhesion and optimal curing in very cold to hot climates. It may be used directly on clean metals, fiberglass, concrete and masonry. A primer may also be required depending on particular substrate.

ToughLiner is applied by 2K high pressure plural component pumping machine. It delivers a 15 sec gel time with a 24 hour cure time to return to harsh service. It is available in Black and Dary Gray. Its finished surface may appear textured by applying a final fog-spray technique. It retains a wide functional temperature range and flexibility from -20F to 150F.

Please contact our technical support group for specific substrate application procedures, equipment, safety gear and clean-up kits. Refer to MSDS for material and safety standard procedures.

Technical Application Data

Application substrates must be clean/dry from contaminates; i.e. free of loose rust, paint, moisture, dirt, oils, etc. This material is to be applied within 40°F to 100°F. Mix B-side thoroughly prior to surface application. Application liquid temperature is normally set to 150°F. Recommended min. application film thickness is .040″ (1mm). Coverage at 16 mils is 100 sq. ft./ mixed gal.

Substrate Surface Preparation

Preparation of substrate surface prior to the application of a SuperSkinSystem is extremely important to achieve proper system bonding.

If application surface exhibits extensive corrosion, normal forms of media blasting is recommended to create a secure clean surface preparation. Primers may also be required to obtain proper preparation. Always power clean using mild detergent prior to ablating or sanding, etc. Call TechSupport Group for assistance with selecting the complete SSS application system. Also visit the Application Page on this website. It is always best to perform a test within a small section of the application area prior to full scale engagement.
