  • FireSkin™ Foam 0.5

    Fireskin Foam 0.5 is a two component, 1-1 parts by volume, light density, spray applied polyurethane foam.  To produce Fireskin Foam 0.5 requires the use of an A-Component (ISO) and a B-Component (RESIN), which contains zero ozone depleting blowing agents, catalyst, polyols and flame-retardant materials such as fiberglass, cellulose or other loose fill products.  Typical areas where spray polyurethane foam is applied are interior walls, attics, ceilings and spa insulations.

  • Ground Glass Powder

    SSS Ground Glass Powder is made from 100% recycled glass occurring in laminated glass (primarily automotive windshields). The product is gray colored powder with a uniform particle size distribution. SSS Ground Glass Powder is amorphous and contains no crystalline silica and provides a clean post-consumer filler for polymer-based systems. This filler impart excellent abrasion resistance and chemical stability to coatings and other polymer systems. SSS Ground Glass Powder processing system provides consistent product quality with fineness covering a range of potential applications. Product is screened and shows average size particles of Mesh 325.

  • Silicone Epoxy

    Silicone Epoxy is a high temperature epoxy with excellent chemical resistance. It provides superior resistance to water spotting, even under adverse conditions and is DOT noncorrosive. This material is used in industrial flooring, chemically resistant tank linings, chemical handling equipment, chemical storage vessels and marine environments. It is used on metal, wood, fiberglass, concrete, masonry and other difficult to coat surfaces requiring a tough chemical resistant coating. Silicone Epoxy is optically clear and has excellent UV Resistance. It has outstanding temperature resistance allowing it to be used up to 400°F.

  • WBSE-3

    WBSE-3 is the next version of our WBE-2. It has the same characteristics as WBE-2 with long pot life up to 8 hours after mixing A & B, tack free times of under 20 minutes, fast cure times in 16 mil or less film thickness, but has a Silicone backbone built into the Hardener. This enables the WBSE-3 to have higher temperature better chemical, higher gloss, optically clear and better UV resistance.

    WSBE-3 can also come with Nano size glass filler similar to WBE-2. Glass filled WBSE-3 has a matte finish and non-skid surface. The ratio of Resin to Hardener is 1 resin to 1 hardener without glass. The glass is premeasured so it an be added to the A&B mix with a jiffy mixer. WBSE-3 can be used on concrete, asphalt, steel, aluminum, and wood. Colors are available, simply send in a pantone, RAL, or SW color number. Surface preparation is still the same as WBE-2. Like all water based products freeze protection is required for shipping.

  • H-100

    H100 is an aromatic diamine that has been modified to have epoxy linkage on the tail. H100 can be incorporated in polyurea, polyurethane and used as a hardner for epoxy.

  • WBE-2

    WBE2 is a clear or pigmented 2- component water based aliphatic epoxy formulation with excellent chemical and UV resistance. WBE2 has great adhesion to most substrates such as concrete, metals and asphalt. There is no odor or vocs allowing it to use for inside applications. It is available with 50% nano size glass filler , anti static , anti-microbial, and anti-corrosive additives. WBE2 can be used as a primer and can be diluted with 25% water to penetrate porous concrete. WBE2 dries to a high gloss top coat . The glass filled dries to a matte finish with a nonskid finish.

    WBE2 dries very fast depending on temperature , humidity and thickness. Typical drying times are 15 minutes with up to 8 hour pot life. WBE2 may be sprayed, brushed or rolled. Tack free at 75F is 15-30 minutes. At temperatures of 50F tack free times maybe 2 hours. Rolling should be done with a short knap roller. Typical use temperatures are between 25-150F . Full cure should be 24 hours.

    WBE2 can be made with ESD ( electric static discharge) additives. Its available in clear or pigmented. Unlike other ESD resins which use carbon fibers , WBE2 does not need them . ESD materials are used in clean rooms  or where sparks may cause serious problems.

  • RailSkin™

    RailSkin™ polyurea is an extremely tough abrasion resistant super-polymer designed to protect the interior of steel or aluminium rail cars which are used to haul harsh aggregates such as coal, rock, salt, land-fill materials, etc. This 2k 1A:1B material provides superior tear and impact strength while delivering a high degree of corrosion resistance. RailTuff is a non-breathable polyurea which eliminates water vapor transmission to underlying surfaces to prevent the undelying metals from oxidizing. RailSkin may also be used in many other industrial and harsh environments.

  • WBE-2 Primer

    WBE-2 Primer is a clear or pigmented fast drying two-component aliphatic epoxy primer designed to promote excellent adhesion performance with no odor during interior application. It is available in hard or flexible formulations. It may be directly topcoated using many SuperSkinSystems coatings within a 48 hours period.

    WBE-2 Primer may be used on many substrates such as steel, aluminium, fiberglass, concrete masonary and wood. It also may be formulated to include anti-corrosive properties for all oxidizing substrates. This special formulated primer may be applied to slightly damp surfaces. Full cure is achieved under normal conditions in 24 hours.

  • Sealer-9

    Sealer-9 is a flexible one-component 9% NCO isocyanate based sealer used primarily for sealing concrete and other porous cementuous substrates. It provides a tough moisture-curing penetrating film which may be solvent reduced up to 40% using Xylene, Naptha Aromatic 100, Butyl Acetate or MEK.

    Sealer-9 is applied in thin wets coats and quickly flashes off to a dry-tacky touch in minutes depending on relative humidity and temperature.   • Primer 30

    Primer 30 is a unique single component multi-purpose penetratrating primer to be used to support all SuperSkinSystems’ topcoat systems. It provides excellent sealing capabilities on porous and non-porous substrates such as concrete, wood, stucco, metals, fiberglass, non-glazed tile, old painted surfaces, oxidized epdm membranes, masonary, plaster, etc. The primer is ready to use and does not require the use of solvents such as Primer 28. Material fast cure Mek 1:1 slow aromatic 100. It is very robust and versatile and can be applied to not so perfectly prepped surfaces although the sufaces still be cleaned from contaminates such as oils, loose debris, dirt, waxes, etc. In general, this all-purpose primer delivers optimum adhesive characteristics combined with an extended window of application time prior to the application of topcoats. This primer may also be formulated with corrosion inhibitors is desired.   • MACE-Flex

    Mace-Flex is an aliphatic 1-component self-crosslinking waterborne formulation delivering excellent chemical and water resistance while providing good abrasion resistance and fast-setting properties.
    Mace-Flex or Mace-Regular is designed to be solvent-free and used as a tough exterior topcoat, sealer or as an underlying penetrating primer. The penetrating nature of this material promotes its use for direct topcoating on porous and non-porous substrates masonary, wood, non-glazed tile, stucco, metal, composites and certain polymers. These materials may also be used as a primer in many SuperSkin System’s coating applications.

    Mace is an air-dry system where it is normally spray or roll applied. This low viscosity dispersion dries clear and flexible in 10-15 minutes acquiring full-cure in 24 hrs or maybe forced dried at elevated temperatures. Mace-Flex provides up to 200% elongation with a tensile strength of 2400 psi. Acrylic color pigments and thickener additives may also be included to enhance its widely diversified use.

  • MACE-Regular

  • ChemSkin™ Silicone Polyurea (CSP)

    CSP is a patented 100% solid silicone modified polyurea. The silicone modification increases chemical resistance, lowers water absorption, improves UV resistance and has higher HDT. The CSP also meets the NSF-61 requirement for potable water.

  • StormSkin™

    StormSkin™ polyurea is a very strong highly resilient super-polymer designed to aid in the protection of building infrastructures, pipelines, bridges, etc. This super-polymer is a derivative of BlastSkin™, a Military-Grade super-polymer, targeting extreme properties such as tear strength, impact and abrasion resistance. StormSkin is a non-breathable polyurea which eliminates water vapor transmission to underlying surfaces. This prevents metals to oxidize or rust under its impenetrable skin. It is used primarily to protect industrial infrastructures, waterproofing containment areas, steel frameworks, natural gas/oil pipelines, surge water walls, tanks reservoirs, rail cars, above and below ground piping, concrete and masonry waterproofing, heavy equipment coating, shipbuilding and harsh marine corrosive environments.

  • ChemSkin™ Polyurea

    ChemSkin is an extremely tough, 100% solids, super-polymer formulations which stands up to high heat and provides excellent chemical resistance.  ChemSkin provides excellent bonding performance, low surface friction, toughness and abrasion resistance.  This unique super-polymer is designed to be applied as a fast-set spray with gel time of approximately 5-10 seconds.  ChemSkin is available with flame retardants upon request.  ChemSkin is a naturally caramel colored translucent coating which can be color tinted to produce translucent or opaque colors.  This aromatic super-polymer is not UV stable and must be top coated with an aliphatic UV stable coating.

  • BlastSkin™

    BlastSkin™ polyurea is a high strength energy absorbing super-polymer designed to deliver extensive elastomeric resiliency when subjected to explosive energy forces. This military grade formulation possess extremely high material tear strengths, exceptional abrasion and superior toughness. When subjected to an exothermic explosion, the super-polymer’s molecular geometry is pushed to a very high energy state enabling it to absorb the kinetic energy of the blast’s shock wave. It will provide containment of its underlying fractured substrate peventing the debris of shrapnel fragments. Military testing has demonstrated blast pressure rates in the order of 250 psi/ms performance at 0.25″ thickness. See BlastSkin Test Blast Movie

    BallisticSkin™ is constructed as a NEAT super-polymer or as a composite fabrication. Material thicknesses of the super-polymers are dictated by the requ ired level of protective performance along with application specific required substrates. Typical material substrates include very high strength steel, 6061 Aluminum, UHMW engineering polymers, fabric composites, ceramics, masonry and concrete.   • BallisticSkin™ Polyurea

    BallisticSkin™ super-polymer technologies are designated into 3 groups: BS-NEAT, BS-LAM and BS-SM. BS-NEAT may be cast optically clear to a thickness of 1.25″ (31mm) to handle intense hand gun fire at close range with fire-power from multiple rounds of 44 magnum, 9 mm and 45 caliber bullets. As shown in shown Fig. 1 a couple of 45 caliber bullets were stopped at a depth of .375″ into BS-NEAT at close range. BS-LAM is specificially designed for composite builds using numerous inner members such as ultra hard steels, ceramics, kevlar fabrics and ultra-dense engineered thermoplastics. BS-SM is an ultra tough energy absorbing skin used primarily in shrapnel mitigation.

    BallisticSkin super-polymer materials are capable of absorbing very high impact energy, extremely high tear resistance and can withstand high heat capacities whereby demonstrating ultimate toughness. The spray version of BallisticSkin (BS-SM) is used to strengthen a variety of military grade substrates used for tranportation vehicles, armorment assemblies and structural building reinforcement as shown in Fig. 2 where BS-SM is sprayed on a high strength very hard steel (Brinnel 60-65) panel at a thickness of 3.6 mm. Shown from the back side, the left hand side shows the dark green BS-SM super-polymer coating strenghthening the hard steel keeping it from shattering into shrapnel and panel failure cracking.

    Generally, BallisticSkin™ super-polymers are used in some type of ballistic shielding applications. These materials may be applied to many types of structural substrates which include high strength steel, 6061 Aluminum, high-strength composites, wood laminates, reinforced masonry and concrete. These unique materials provide extreme protection for safe-houses, personnel vehicles, government buildings, armed outposts and special aircraft.   • Continuous Panel Laminator

    SuperSkinSystems has developed a continuous foam panel laminating machine to produce foam boards for a variety of applications. This machine technology combined our foam chemistry technology may accommodate board stock widths as wide as desired utilizing multiple dispensing heads and increased conveyor units heads continuous 30″ wide board stock which may incorporate a host of outer skin materials and inner reinforcement materials sandwiched together using our RigidBuildingFoams or FireSkinFoams. These matrix foaming core materials may also be Bio-based and available in densities ranging from 2-30 pcf. The outer skins of the continuous panel may include a wide range of materials such as cardboard, wood, plastics, canvas, fabrics, metals and woven reinforcement cloths. Inner laminate materials such as Basalt, S-glass, Carbon or Kevlar fibers may also be incorporated into the panel to be used as structural reinforcements. Panels lengths may be cut to any size and widths may be narrowed down to just a few inches for specialized applications. Panels thickness may range from 0.25-4.0 inches.

    Decorative Panels may be achieved by color top-coating and sequential color texturing. Panels may be secondary coated with any SuperSkinSystems materials for desired specifications. Structural Panels used in flooring applications may be coated with our Non-Skid system or coated with our high dielectric coating to arrest electrical conduction. These lightweight very high strength panels utilize non-hydroscopic foaming cores to allow for exterior use. Typical panel uses include floors, walls, ceilings, roofs, exterior signage, decorative interior design, displays, furniture, structural reinforcing spars, boat transoms, firewalls, shielding, etc.

    Given the diversity of materials which may be integrated into this Panel Composite and/or the selection of applied high-performance exterior coatings, these panels offer extraordinary characteristics which lends themselves into many diverse and demanding applications.   • Pole-Setting Rigid Foam

    Pole Setting Foam is designed specifically for fast-setting structural pole-setting applications such as utility/telephone poles, flag poles, fence posts, etc. It is a tough 100% solids non-hydrophilic 6 pcf foam formulation exhibiting 100 psi compressive strength to provide secure fast-installations. The foam may be used directly in holes which contain a water volume of less than 5% of the total hole volume. It delivers excellent chemical resistance and may be applied in dirt having a wide pH range. For special applications a 9.0 PCF density is also available with the same characteristics, but higher compression strength.

    Pole-Setting Foam is mixed 1:1 using a hand-held drill jiffy mixer until both components mix into a uniform color (approx 1min). It is then poured directly around the pole into the surrounding hole which obtains a firm material set-up within 15 minutes. The foam may be covered with dirt immediately after it becomes rigid to the touch. It will not be damaged by rain after this point. Material reactivity time may be adjusted to accommodate specific demanding application environments if requested.   • Pouring Foams

    Pouring Foams are a family of rigid water-blown foams designed especially for pour casting into molds to create very intricate very diverse parts. These pouring foam formulations may be custom blended to offer unique mechanical, thermal, non-burning, high compressive/shear strength properties along with specifically designed reactivity molding times such as creme time, gel time, tack-free and overall cure time. SuperSkinSystems offers these properties in a wide range of foam densities. Typical density pouring foams ranges from 2-10 pcf. These foams may also be colored and/or include bio-based polyols to be considered “a green product”. These pour casting foams are seen in a variety of applications in very diverse industries such as architectural wall and decorative part moldings, furniture and toy markets, specialty part moldings etc. Densities of 2-3 pcf have been tested to MIL-P21929C.

  • Primer 28 (Rigid or Flex)

    Primer 28 is a one-component primer used primarily for concrete substrates and other inherently dust prone applications. It is available in Rigid or Flexible formulations. It is a moisture-cure solvent based polyisocyanate which is reduced 3:1 using Xylene, Naptha Aromatic 100, Butyl Acetate or MEK. This primer may be also formulated with zinc to provide galvanic protection when used in industrial metal assemblies. It is ideal for polyurea or polyaspartic topcoats which require high performance adhesive characteristics. It is normally used in demanding environments such as coastal marine, industrial chemical processing and oily water treatment plants where superior adhesion is required. Top-Coats include SuperSkinSytems’ polyurea coatings as well as other top coating systems such as uethanes, enamels or acrylics. If application surface retains extensive corrosion, normal forms of media blasting is recommended to create a secure surface preparation. PRIMER 28 is applied in thin coats and quickly flashes off to a dry-tacky touch in minutes depending on relative humidity and temperature. If the primer becomes totally dry or exceeds the max working application window of 24 hrs then a quick recoat will be necessary. Top coating must be applied to the primer while in a tacky wet to tacky dry state.
